Question

How do I export settings from PDF-XChange Viewer and PDF-XChange Editor?

I want to be able to save my settings for subsequent use and/or provide them to another person to use.

Resolution

PDF-XChange Editor

1. Click File in the Ribbon UI, or Edit in the Clasic UI.

2. Click Manage Settings > Export Settings. The Export Settings Options dialog box will open:

3. Select the desired settings and click OK. The Export Settings to File dialog box will open.

4. Enter a name for the file and click Save.

The file will then be saved in *.xces format and can be imported into any version of PDF-XChange Editor. (The Import Settings option can be used for this purpose. It is also located in the File/Edit tab of the Toolbar).

PDF-XChange Viewer

1. Click Edit in the Menu Toolbar.

2. Click Export All Settings to Data File.

3. The Export All Settings dialog box will open:

4. Enter a name for the file in the File name text box and click Save.

The file will then be saved in *.dat format and can be imported into any version of PDF-XChange Viewer. (The Import All Settings from Data File option can be used for this purpose. It is also located in the Edit tab of the Menu Toolbar).
