I like the software, having used an earlier version for years. I like being able to change colors on the main screens, unlike my version of Adobe which is straight black/white. I had a problem with using the 'rectangle' tool of PRO; could not get it to appear as I had specified, but I sent an e-mail to support and got the information I needed to turn off a certain feature. After that my 'rectangles' (used to highlight a paragraph in a book page, or a section in an pdf article so I can find them easily the next time I pull up a file) came out with very red lines and no opaque or other color fill in.

I would like to see you add the ability to pull up a file from the Nota Bene word processor. I cannot remember if the PRO version of your software can pull up and read docx. files or not, but it may not work because Microsoft cheated me twice on WORD, which I paid for but had mob failures. I believe PRO must have software that will open a designated file in WORD forma; each time I had my computer repaired, Microsoft claimed the IP address was wrong, and reduced my software to limited use or trial. I gave up on it and started using LibreOffice. It would also be nice if you could recognize that file type also.
Lastly, I do not have an internet connection at home, so it would be nice if I could download help files (pdf) to use, since I cannot access 'help' when working at home.
I think your software is very good and hope to use it many more years.

I purchased the PDF XChange PRO because I needed software that could merge documents and files. What I received did that and much more. The interface between different formats was especially helpful. It did take a bit of learning as I was familiar with another type of software but was well worth the effort. As of this writing it was just updated which I find as a relief as this shows they fully support their product. I would recommend PDF XChange PRO for anyone needing this type of software. Thank you for a great product!

I've been using PDF-XChange Pro for about 4 years now and am very satisfy. The program is easy to use, you can customize the toolbars to use your own command keys, this is a plus to work around faster. Upgrades are easy done, and very nice interface.
In my work field, it would be nice to have more drawings tools, to edit existing stamps, and to import images to a pre-define specific size. All this can be done but can be improved. Price is very affordable for what you get at work I get Adobe Pro and I never use it since in my opinion this is better, easier, and faster to use.

I have been using PDF-XChange PRO for a few years now and have really enjoyed using it.
It is very flexible and easy to use and has all the features I am looking for in a viewer and editor.

I only have a few niggles, the main one being during automatic updates it gets so far and then complains that it doesn't have permission to continue. This means it has got as far as wiping the previous version and when you cancel you no longer have your old version. Sometimes this can be sorted by restarting your machine and starting again but sometimes you have to go to your website and download the update rather than using the automatic update and do it that way.

When inserting another pdf as a stamp (you can't insert a pdf any other way), if you only want a portion of the pdf to show on your page size you can only move it around using the arrow keys as if you try to drag it part way off your page it just springs back to where it was before!

So nothing really major to complain about.
I spent a lot of time looking at all the other viewers/editors and for my particular use it was by far the most suitable.
Support are always helpful and the marketing department don't make your life a misery like some of the other companies (no names no pack drill, but they know who they are).

I had the older pro version from 2012 or earlier. That was great also. When I updated to this version I expected windows trouble. There was and is no windows trouble. It did not affect all the other software either. It loads very fast and displays, scrolls, tabs to tabs real fast. I have been plugging your software on a Bluebeam forum for years. I use Bluebeam also, extensively and use Tracker for fast viewing and as a side by side for drawings. I do takeoffs with BB and use tracker for finding detail or corresponding sheets. It handles large specification book outstanding.

The new version will take a little getting used too. Need to find time to actually see the potential.

The PDF printer driver still has a serious issue for years: The specified placeholder for PDF printing leads to special characters that are forbidden in file names! If you do not have the knowledge to solve such problems yourself or you do not want to look intensively for solutions, you should definitely use the product as a DEMO before buying.

That and a few other minor issues aside, PDF-XChange PRO far surpass other commercial programs. My company is 100% dependent on smooth work with PDF files every day. Generally important criteria are e.g. space-saving files, very reliable OCR and easy operation even by unskilled assistants. And of course tools for solving special problems that average users are not even aware of.
Since I started to work with PDF, over the last 20 years I have worked with all common free programs, but also with the most well-known professional products. NONE of them was "perfect" for me. But the current version of PDF-XChange tools are the only ones to solve all my known and conceivable tasks with one single tool box - as a rule, perfectly satisfactory.

I still see room for improvement, but (despite small weaknesses) for me PDF-XChange PRO tools are the best all-round product on the market so far.

After testing various pdf reading and processing programs, PDF-XChange Pro is definitely the best. OCR is important for me and this is a strong point of the program. It works accurately and seamlessly. The text 'overlay' of the image makes it as if the text is in the original. Commenting is also important. I particularly like being able to highlight some text and have the text added as a comment. Comments are as important as bookmarks - however, the automatic bookmarking is a joy to use. The built-in 'search' feature (more advanced than just 'find') is also extremely useful. There's no end to the features; PDF-XChange Pro is a great package.

What I dislike: When I extract pages, I can't jump to the Filename field using the keyboard, I always have to use the mouse. A shortcut there (Alt+F ?) would be greatly appreciated!!!

PDF XChange PRO, more specifically PDF XChange Editor, is a great PDF Viewer and Editor! It has tons of features, it is well designed, and it feels powerful. There are lots of options, buttons, menus, toolbars, panels, always rich in possible actions: to select, copy/paste, delete, focus on, etc. I love the new OCR engine, it is efficient and easy to use. And the new features allowing manual recompression of selected images (or scanned pages = also images). The Search panel is great, which notably allows to search in all PDFs from a directory and its subfolders. The Content panel is very useful too, when you want to clean a PDF (make it lighter) by deleting some contents that are not necessary, or background images that are too heavy, for instance. The Editor makes it very easy to modify a PDF. However, I still find that Adobe's software is more powerful in terms of compression/optimization of PDF (for decreasing file size without degrading visual quality). That would be my main critic against PDF Xchange Editor. Indeed, PDF XChange Editor tends to produce files that are quite heavy when importing B&W PNG files generated by scanning a text document, for instance. It does not perform efficient automatic compression of the new PDF document, contrary to Adobe's software, which is very good at doing wise compression of images having large zones of uniform background color. My wish, therefore, would be that Tracker Software works on this feature (wiser compression of images, especially of non-photo-like images e.g. scanned text). As for the PDF Tools, hum... I don't use it, it seems quite useless in my view. Maybe for batch processing?... That said, overall, I love PDF XChange Editor!

PDF Xchange works fast and stable. Although I have not yet used all the features, it is clear that it is very complete, with features that I have not yet encountered in the earlier packages that I have used for a long time, such as Full acrobatX and Foxit Phantom Business, packages that should be basically comparable to be. The decisive factor for me was the functioning of the PDF printer. In other packages I kept having problems with this, when printing from Revit.
The graphics of PDF Xchange I find a bit restless, but that is also a matter of taste.

We've moved our PDF Editor to PDF XChange Pro and very happy about it. Like some reviewers - it's a learning curve but doable. As we try to navigate our way, the support has been extremely helpful. The only problem I see is that opening up embedded PDF in MS Office created by a different vendor as it's an OLE/Add-in with Office. There is a longer way but I hope soon they can integrate PDF XChange or add a feature in PDFX to open up PDF documents created from the other vendor.

I used Adobe pro for some time before finding PDF-XChange Pro. This is a much superior product in most ways, interface, functionality and usability. The only thing I might (rarely) revert back to Adobe for is certain specific saving options. I much prefer this product over Adobe and it's good to see it as competition. I always recomend this product to friends and colleagues.

Love this software. I've waited too many years to find a replacement for Adobe Acrobat. PDF-Xchange handles SOOOO many things better and it's interface is so much more customizable. I simply for the life of me cannot figure out why Adobe has gone the direction of interface it has chosen. PDF-Xchange also handles files better and does most of what it does better than Adobe. I simply love it and wish I had moved to this years ago.

There are some tweaks and some features that are missing in the program...but another great thing about Tracker is their customer service and their care. They are extermely fast in responding to questions and feature requests, and they seem to take the requests very seriously. Time will tell on that.

Overall, I love the product, and of course, they are less expensive, and they still provide the age old ownership model of their software. I hate hate hate subscription plans...and tracker nails it with their licensing setup as well.

PDF-Xchange PRO is excellent for my use! I like the depth of functionalities that are available although there are a few more I would like. Everything that is there works very well and are reasonably intuitive to use. In fact, it has so much functionality I feel certain that I have not learned how to use them all to best advantage. It handles large files better than some other competing products (such as Kofax PaperPort). I especially love the bookmarking functionality and the ability to drag selected pages from one file to another. I am also impressed with the hyperlinking capabilities both to external sources such as the internet and other non-PDF files and to individual PDF page views either in the same or another document file.

My wishlist of other enhancements is short, an iPad/iPhone app.

I have been using it for years now no problems with it, with one exception that I have reported several times and their response to me was simply it was not an priority to fix.

The software seems like it has more options/features than adobe at a fraction of the cost. Their customer service is way more helpful & knowledgeable than adobe. My job uses Adobe and I had to call them for an issue, I was passed between 3 or 4 departments that were all pointing the finger at each other and even got disconnected a few times with no call back.

The stamps feature could use more traditional stamps like "sign here", etc. as in Adobe. The exception I mentioned earlier is that the software (same as adobe) has an option to disable the scroll bar in a .pdf. When enabled it does nothing. I have tested it in various versions of the software over the years and it has NEVER worked. As I stated earlier their customer support person simply stated that this "bug" is not a high priority to them. It is to me since I like to use it on my tablet PC to read long .pdfs. The scroll bar gets in the way. The longevity of this bug is the main reason it gets 4/5 stars.

I personally really like the layout of the PDF editor. It also has a wide variety of features that are difficult to find on some other pdf editors like the ability to import data from an text delimited file, measure areas, and show the geographic coordinates.

The support from the staff is great, and the user forums are excellent.

In addition this software is a lot cheaper than Adobe acrobat.

I highly recommend this product.

I originally purchased PDF-XChange Pro about 10 years ago. I was the superintendent on a construction site and needed to be able to view and print blue prints. What attracted me was the ability to annotate drawings with measurements to scale. While you can do that in Acrobat it is not easy to use. In PDF-XChange you can easily set the scale it uses while measuring, the line ends and many other attributes. In short I think this is the best program available for blue prints and scaled drawings without spending many hundreds of dollars. I have had architects verify some of the scaled measurements I have made and every one was right on.
I have retired from the construction business now but I still want to keep PDF-XChange as my go-to pdf program. Each version upgrade has added functionality and everything has just worked great. Keep up the good work Tracker Software, I whole heartedly recommend PDF-XChange Pro.

Wir nutzen PDF-XChange Pro bereits seit vielen Jahren. Das Tool ist gut zu bedienen und für Standardaufgaben schnell und unkompliziert. Es gibt regelmäßig Updates.
Interessant ist die Funktion OCR-Erkennung zu nutzen und damit durchsuchbare PDFs zu erzeugen. Auch die automatische Verbesserung von PDFs erzeugt klarere Hintergründe (graue Muster durch das Scannen werden teilweise entfernt). Gut ist auch die Möglichkeit, Seiten zu entfernen, Dokumente zusammenzuführen. Allerdings ist dabei die Bedienerführung nicht einfach gelöst. Man muss schon einiges ausprobieren, um den gewünschten Effekt zu erzielen.
Die Software wird ständig weiterentwickelt und für unsere Ansprüche bietet sie weit mehr als wir nutzen können.

On my second subscription I have found this program a useful alternative to my Acrobat DC however I miss the files merging function that compels me to use my Adobe DC editor periodically. Also I would prefer a push auto update option that does not be so disruptive to my Win 10 Pro system even when updating a minor upgrade version.

I appreciate the more intuitive editing functions compared to Adobe that stiil carries its MAC origin when it relates to various menu executions.

The search feature is spectacular. I also appreciate the ability to save sessions and I regularly save my current session, load technical articles that I need to search and reset when I am finished. I appreciate this software so much that I want to use the SDK to offer PDF search and viewing from our own software.

I find it quite difficult to find any critical comment so I will offer something trivial : the toolbar buttons in the ribbon take up quite a bit of space and the aspect ratio on my laptop is much wider than vertical so I lose quite a bit of the reading view. Thankfully, I am glad that I can hide the ribbon.

Meanwhile I use the second version (8) of the excellent program PFX-XChange PRO. And I am very satisfied because I use it every day to my full satisfaction. Main advantage: It is universally applicable and very easy to use for any kind of text/image operations. Only a few programs have these characteristics of a "Swiss Army Knife" - this is one of them.

I use prf-x for private use only. And i have the free version since years. Now i wanted some functions for editing, such as: delete/ add pages, combine and recombine a series of pdf-files and some visual editing such as hilighting.

Pdf-x has all i need. It is easy to use, stable and works very trustworthy.

I have purchase PDF-XChange Pro since 2012. Why? It simply works. Too many times other PDF software have crashed Windows.. even blue screens of death. Never with PDF-XChange Pro. Plus it has OCR, flexible document formatting, and can save to international PDF standard file format. Thanks to the folks at Tracker for their good work which in turn keeps me working.
