We have been using this software for several years now, for the price I am often surprised by what it can do. For our needs, i.e. the needs of a small business, for which it is expensive to pay overpriced Adobe product licenses, this product is fully sufficient and I can only recommend it with a clear conscience.

.pdf files are everywhere, and so I need a good program to read them and many are available. However, sometimes the .pdf needs to be edited or combines, or OCR'd, etc. That's were PDF-XChange Editor shines because you can do so many things with it to make the .pdf document both versatile and secure. The versatility can be confusing though, because all those options have to be put in drop-down sub-menus and sometimes you have to hund around for them. I have used the help feature as well as google to locate some of the features, but once you get used to the organizational menues, you are good to go. No software is perfect, but this is very, very good and I'm glad I got it, and have renewed the support thing every year since then.

Dear TRACKER . First of all, I am not a heavy user of PDF files. I was using the DEMO version a long time. So, it is not a question of like/dislike, but need/not need. The program is just great, and I LIKE IT ! TOO MUCH ! It offers so many capabilities that a user like me, unfortunately, can easely get lost. Given some more time maybe I can be more helpful. Notwithstanding, I tried to create a custom STAMP, unsuccefully. Not the this is critical to me, just exploring its features. As the matter of fact, I couldn´t access a file with examples of stamps, offered by other (advanced) users. This may be usable ... IF YOU CAN SEND IT TO ME ... Aha ... I appreciate the possibility to optimize (shrink) a file. Very handy. Also, the personalization of rectangles etc. Well, sorry if I cannot be of more assistance. Thank you and good luck.

I bought PDF-XChange Editor Plus as I had been a user of the free version of PDF XChange for years as it was by far the best OCR software in my experience, easy to use, and loads fast. The reason I bought the Editor Plus version was to be able to use the OCR version that uses all of the CPUs cores (i.e., multi-core OCR software). I was not disappointed. As a comparison, the free version of the OCR (which uses a single core) took 15 - 20 minutes to OCR a 205 page document that was not well-scanned. When I used the Editor Plus version, it took 90 seconds. This was with a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU (8 core, 16 thread) with 32 GB RAM. It is also very easy to join PDF documents together and apply Bates numbering. This software more than rivals Adobe and at a far better price than Adobe's ridiculous monthly pricing. I cannot argue value for money when comparing with other PDF software that I am familiar with, especially given how important fast OCR technology processing needs to be for large PDF files. But if you want fast OCR technology, make sure you have enough RAM, as this software will use all processor cores and for each core it uses about 500MB RAM (I recommend 16 GB RAM minimum if you have a 6 - 8 core multi-threaded CPU). That is not a criticism of the software, as the software is just performing as advertised.

PDF-Xchange Editor is on lots of features MUCH BETTER than the Original Adobe Acrobat Prof, dut the interface is not always intuitive, you have to search for lesser used options, like splitting scanned pages (a3-> 2xA4). Nevertheless one is missing some nice options like File Comparison and too my Abbyy Finereader V16 is doing the OCR work better on text and layout reproduction. A point that is fully missing is the CATALOG function, especially for more files in a directory, but this can be resolved by using the superb Archivarius3000 package from Likasoft.. Alltogether PDF-Xchange is a very good alternative for Adobe Acrobat Prof at a far cheaper price GJS NL

For an SMB-size professional firm, the cost of maintaining an Adobe Business contract to satisfy PDF creation needs had become unsustainable. User resistance to change had delayed the decision, but an additional rate increase for this year's contract renewal was the final factor in terminating our subscriptions. On the advice of an IT manager from another organization, I used domain policy to distribute PDF-X Pro to a group of PCs for testing (and later to all PCs) while maintaining our Adobe subscriptions a year ago. The ability to use all the functionality (with watermarked output) on unlicensed installations is an ideal approach and provides an easy means to introduce and test PDF-X as a potential Acrobat Pro replacement. The online documentation was sufficient to get the users acclimated and determine that we could eliminate the Acrobat subscriptions when the renewal came around again this year. I bought a license pack for PDF-XChange Editor Plus and distributed the activation keys (via a simple script) to the existing installations (without reinstalling). There have been a handful of tasks which required some investigation to master, but on the whole, I've had very little resistance from the users about making the transition. While the move has not been effortless, it has been much easier than anticipated and returned considerable savings to my software budget. I fully intend to continue renewing our PDF-X license maintenance and am open to upgrading the license level to PDF-X Pro if the users demonstrate a need for it. The Tracker Software support team was responsive and helpful on the one occasion when I needed some advice. I would have no reservations in recommending the move to PDF-X for other organizations that struggle with the "Adobe Tax" for PDF creation tasks.

I purchased the PDF-Editor V9 over a week ago to replace an old software that kept crashing (PhantomPDF). I love this new software! It is user friendly. Colorful icons and pleasant tabs, bars are easy to figure out without reading the manual. Today I looked at the manual for more information on moving jpeg graphics on a PDF and was amazed at all the options, functions and abilities this software offers! I purchased a 3 year license, I am so pleased with this. I am a seamstress and work with PDFs in my pattern making instructions. It’s vital I can edit pages and move things around for visual appeal. I love using the PDF-Editor! Perfect for my needs. Soon I will be using a scanner with it. Will be awesome and easy. Adding text is simple and editable. Last really cool feature I saw in the manual is you can take anything you add to a clipboard and save it as a PDF! This is going to be a time saver. I have to insert jpegs into word docs and sometimes I need to crop, move and edit jpegs. Sometimes I miss a drawing that was supposed to be added to my PDF….no problem. I can add it in this software. Sometimes I am working with photos and need them as a jpeg so this will be helpful for me. Any clipart I need to move from one PDF to another or pull clipart off my CDs of cliparts and I can copy to clipboard and add it. No more saving clipart to my picture folder, then importing clipart or my hand drawings. Take photo of my sketches, drop into PDF! So easy! Sorry this is long. I love this software! Our company recently decided to look for another solution for our PDF needs. Our previous software worked very well but the new licensing model that company decided to use did not fit well with our IT staff so we all agreed to find another product that would make this easier. We tried PDF-XCHANGE. This product may not be as pretty as the previous company, but the licensing is easier and the product itself out performs the previous brand by a lot. We couldn't be happier.

I researched an alternative to Adobe Acrobat that had an OCR function. I was most impressed with the reviews of PDF-XChange Editor. I downloaded the free version and was quite impressed. Just to ensure I had the best OCR 'engine', I purchased the mid-level version. I am very pleased! I can scan directly from the application, and then run OCR as my scanner skews pages a bit. As with any new application, there are new menu options, etc., but I am able to search for desired functions without difficulty. In addition to scanning, I often merge files or delete pages, and these are supported. I highly recommend this product.

I love PDF-XChange. I deployed it at the office, and the staff loved it too. It actually replaced a more expensive solution, which did measurements on PDF drawings for the Estimating department and saved thousands of dollars in licensing. For staff in other departments, it is also a better, and much more fairly priced, solution than anything else available. Whenever I see someone using another PDF product, I suggest PDF-XChange and they are much happier. Kinda funny too; when friends say they can't do xxx task because it's a PDF, and I end up doing it for them, they think I'm a magician. Plus it just works, without all the annoying on-line screen-stealing crap that Adobe forces down your throat. Another plus is they do some of the development in Canada. I wish they'd develop a mobile app! The full-screen file open and save dialogue boxes annoy me a tiny bit (but, unfortunately, this seems to the GUI trend of the day in other apps too) and it can take a while to find items in the menu but no other negatives come to mind.

I really like the program, it is very fast to launch compared to other software like Acrobat PDF. I am a bit lost some time trying to find the function I want to use. I think I need to get used to it more. The text select (Select Text) function is not automatically switched when I hover my cursor to select text. I have to manually click on the (Select Text) function in order to select and copy words.

I have been using PDF-XChange Editor since 2012 and just recently purchased the newest version. I still like it. I don't use it everyday, but when I need it, I really like it. It is also much improved since my old version. What is helpful to me is the forms fill-in features that I use the most. I also like how I can insert my signature when needed. I can also control the font for form filling which is important for making sure the typing fits even in poorly designed forms. I am glad I repurchased it again to get the latest version.

Good, but sometimes a little bit long-winded in the GUI, for example when trying to make comments in different colors into a pdf. What I'm missing most is the possibility to quickly split-up an existing pdf, where each page becomes an own pdf. This would be VERY useful, e.g. for scanning letters for my bookkeeping.

What I like: - UK based company (a lot of the competition are China based resulting in significant security concerns). - Ribbon Interface makes things easy. - It's the fastest editor I have found when it comes to opening files. - Extremely easy to use. - Excellent OCR Capabilities. - Huge amount of features - Numerous options for converting comments into exportable documents for analysis. For the roadmap: - When I want to highlight text a specific colour, would love to be able to right click, hover over the highlight text option (in the menu that appears) and then select the colour in the next menu. I.e. make it easier to swap between colours frequently. - Would love to be able to export highlighted text as notes (same as the comments function works currently) without using the convert highlights to notes option hidden deep in the menu (that way i can add notes against the highlighted text, auto tag them based on colour and print them together).

Great opportunities like moving a text from one page to another, copying the text style and applying it to another piece of text, the option to place your favourite prompts in your favourite place, the ability to work on shapes or texts and many more! In short, I really love it! One downside is the fonts. It is tough when you edit texts to get the same font as the one my clients use.

The price is good It seems to do everything I need Stamping a drawing with my engineering stamp and the adding a date is a it finicky but it does work. I may not understand all the properties available. It would be nice if two objects, my stamp and date, could be combined to one object. I would give 4.8 stars. The star selection does not work on my computer for some reason.

I have been using PDF-Xchange for at least 8 years since it was only the Viewer before the Editor was introduced and it's always been a solid program. In the time I've been using it there has always been active development adding new features and fixing bugs. The support from Tracker Software is excellent either over e-mail or in the user forums and have always been able to resolve any issues I've come across. The software itself is much more user friendly and faster than the Acrobat programs from Adobe, especially if you're opening complicated engineering drawings with lots of linework. I have used it both personally and for my business and I can't recommend this program enough if you work with PDF's on a daily basis.

PDF-XChange is very powerful. I like the suite of features it provides. I think my only "dislike" would be the learning curve. Because of its power, it has taken me some time to discover how to access some of the features I need. For example, I spent quite a while trying to determine how to switch to the old-style menus. Note: This is not a complaint concerning the product. When you switch from a machine with 5 switches to one with 100 switches ... it takes a while to learn what they each do! That us why I put "dislike" in quotes.

I am relatively new to PDF creating, editing and viewing and spent a considerable time exploring the different software available before coming across PDF-XChange Editor. The price was sensible ( good to have a lifetime fee when so many are now charging annually) compared to some, and the installation process was painless. Since using PDF-XChange Editor I have found the software to be intuitive, comprehensive and very speedy, especially the PDF Viewer. The many options to customize toolbars and appearance give the user the opportunity to personalize their experience. I have used the many support guides, the knowledge base and the manual to good effect. Especially useful are the many Tracker and youtube video tutorials. This is, by far, the best PDF editor I have ever worked with. When the software was suggested to me I was using that "other program" and it was crashing all the time, getting page errors, font errors, ... your name it. It was such a struggle. My work files are very large, 1200 to 1600 pages on average, so at times I had to make several daily backups to make sure I wouldn't lose my work. Annoying. I downloaded PDF-Xchange Editor and I was sold in about one hour! The first feature that convinced me was the Table of Contents. Fabulous tool for our large manuals. A super great asset. Then, size reduction! In seconds, the files are reduced to less than half their size. Another great feature that caught my attention: resizing the pages, YES! I used that one all the time now. This software is not only practical but it is also fun to use!

I have used PDF Xchange Editor for probably 5 or more years and it is THE best PDF editing and review program on the Planet. It is the only PDF editing program I use and I have not yet found it incapable of doing everything I want to edit PDFs, to assemble documents, booklets, and to even do digital editing of drawings and images. Now, when Tracker comes out with a matching app for Android that makes it seamless to go from editing a document in a PC to continuing that editing on an Android tablet, then the PDF editing software market with be theirs for the taking.

Some of the devoted users of PDF-XChange are convinced that this is the best PDF editor there is. Others swear by the features for the price. My experience was good, however there was nothing mind blowing. But maybe that’s the point. While nothing stood out as incredible, there was also nothing that stood out as annoying or in the way. Nothing was missing nor was anything confusing or frustrating. PDF editors and that line of work can be frustrating as it is, with enough complication. So, by having a system that is easy to use and simple with understandable processes to edit and modify a given document or project, is PDF-XChange ahead of the curve? I was impressed that even with the amount of PDF editing I do, I did not have to switch to another program. That says a lot to me. I did not have to jump to one I was more familiar with just to get my work done. So in that sense as well, this is a huge positive. Bonjour à toute l'équipe Tracker Je fais ma revue en français, car je vois que vous avez déjà beaucoup de commentaires en anglais. J'adore votre produit. Je le connais depuis les toutes premières versions et quelles améliorations!!! Chapeau... Je n'ai pas grand chose à lui demander de plus, c'est tellement satisfaisant dans mon métier de professeur. Si vous recherchez quelqu'un pour vous aider sur la traduction en français. Je connais maintenant très bien votre produit. Je ne suis pas du tout capable sur quelques fonctions qui requièrent des connaissances pour les commandes dans les fonctions avancées (lien, mode formulaire) mais je ne demande qu'à... J'utilise allègrement le mode formulaire, l'édition du pdf en natif et bien sûr les commentaires. J'aimerai pouvoir insérer une vidéo. J'aimerai quelques outils supplémentaires pour créer des formulaires auto-correctifs. Pour les tampons auto-dateurs, je n'ai pas réussi à faire une version avec la date française. Je suis certain que ce ne serait rien pour vous d'ajouter cette possibilité. Mais quels progrès vous avez apportés, y compris dans la traduction des menus. Je dis BRAVO !!! Buongiorno, perdonate se scrivo in italiano ma non conosco l'inglese. Ci tenevo a testimoniare che uso Pdf XChange Editor da un anno e ne sono pienamente soddisfatta. È un alleato indispensabile, grazie a questa applicazione ho risolto il problema dell'archivio di pratiche infinite: registri contabili, registro unico del lavoro, anagrafiche dipendenti, inventario dei beni patrimoniali... tutto ordinatamente conservato in tanti file modificabili. La possibilità di inserire note recuperabili con la funzione "cerca", di inserire segnalibri e rinominare, spostare le singole pagine mi permette di avere un archivio ordinato ed efficiente perché trovo l'informazione che mi serve in pochi secondi. Non potrei più farne a meno, lo consiglio vivamente.

Before purchasing a license of this great software, I tried several others, almost all of them, I have no particular needs, however, dealing with banking transactions, insurance, online bill payments for me and for the family it happens to have to transfer, edit, convert, resize, perform "OCR" of documents "PDF" scanned and not. Even though I perform these operations unprofessionally I have been captured by "PDF-XChange", why it does not use large PC resources and all changes can be made quickly and clearly (undo work fine), and when not I understand "how to do" a search in the online help (well done) clarifies everything! Advanced users will find many professional features here! The ability to manage licenses without asking support is great, other editors don't do this, I am very happy to have found "PDF-XChange" that I bought in the plus version. The cost is good because this editor for me has the level of the best (Acrobat, Foxit, Sodapdf, etc.) so I recommend everyone to try it, you won't regret it! Only on two things I'm not very happy and they are: 1) Converting to Word with DOCX extension, viewing/editing of the document is only compatible with recent versions of "Office", starting from 2016 and also other suites free and pro, and "office alternative" do not work correctly, it would be better to offer the possibility of conversion into Word even in DOC format more compatible with common editors/viewers in alternative to "Microsoft Office". 2) Redaction of a document takes place on the original file, so you need to have another copy, otherwise you will have the original document modified! In other software the redaction takes place with saving in a new file. --------------------------------------------------------ITALIAN--------------------------------------------------------- Prima di acquistare una licenza di questo eccezionale software, ho provato diversi altri, quasi tutti, non ho particolari esigenze però occupandomi di transazioni bancarie, assicurative, pagamenti online di bollette per me e per la famiglia succede di dover trasferire, redigere, convertire, ridimensionare, eseguire "OCR" di documenti "PDF" scansionati e non. Anche se eseguio queste operazioni in modo non professionale sono stato catturato da "PDF-XChange", perchè non utilizza grandi risorse del pc e tutte le modifiche si possono effettuare in modo rapido e chiaro (annullamento modifica è presente), e quando non capisco "come fare" una ricerca nell'aiuto in linea (ben fatto) chiarisce tutto! Gli utenti avanzati troveranno qui molte funzioni professionali! La possibilità di gestire le licenze senza chiedere interventi al supporto è eccezionale, altri editor non lo fanno, sono molto contento di aver trovato "PDF-XChange" che ho acquistato nella versione plus. Il costo è buono perchè questo editor per me ha il livello dei migliori (Acrobat, Foxit, Sodapdf, etc.) quindi consiglio a tutti di provarlo, non ve ne pentirete! Solo di due cose non sono molto contento e sono: 1) Conversione in Word con estensione DOCX, la visualizzazione del documento è compatibile solo con versioni recenti di "Office", a partire dalla 2016 e anche altre suite come "office" sia free che pro non funzionano correttamente, sarebbe meglio offrire la possibilità di conversione in Word anche in formato DOC più compatibile con editor/viewer differenti da "Office Microsoft". 2) Redazione di un documento avviene sul file originale, quindi bisogna avere un'altra copia, altrimenti avrai il documento originale modificato! In altri software la redazione avviene con salvataggio in nuovo file!

Best pdf editor around. Incredible value for anyone who works daily with pdf. I'm an engineer, and have to do markups every day. There is no tool as powerful and fast as Pdf-xchange editor. Even badly exported PDF with hundreds of comments and layers open fast in this tool, while they are painfully slow in the Adobe Suite.
